On April 30, 2025, the EnerCmed project held its first Hackathon at the University of Genoa, bringing together students and young professionals to explore innovative solutions for resilient energy communities.

The event kicked off at 08:30 with a welcome session and an introduction to the EnerCmed project, including the Hackathon’s goals, instructions, and tools. Participants were then divided into teams and assigned specific neighborhood cases to tackle.

During the working session, teams focused on sizing Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), modeling energy sharing, and optionally proposing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). The morning concluded with dynamic final presentations, where each team showcased their solutions and answered questions from the audience.

The event wrapped up with the distribution of participation certificates and a group photo, marking a successful and inspiring day of collaboration and innovation.
