ENERCMED participated in the 3rd Gathering of the Interreg Euro-MED Green Living Areas (GLA) Community in Athens, joining partners from 25 projects working together to accelerate the green transition across the Mediterranean.
The event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, showcase innovative solutions, and strengthen collaboration on key themes including green mobility, energy systems, climate-resilient spatial planning, green finance, and citizen engagement.
As part of the programme, ENERCMED contributed to the Thematic Working Groups, where partners discussed the transferability of project solutions, their integration into local and regional planning frameworks (such as SECAPs, SUMPs, and urban greening plans), and the development of joint technical papers to support the wider adoption of successful practices across Mediterranean territories.
The Gathering also featured a dynamic pitching session highlighting practical solutions developed by Green Living Areas projects. The session reinforced the importance of communicating innovative approaches in a clear and accessible way to facilitate their replication and impact across different territories.
Through its participation, ENERCMED continues to contribute to the Green Living Areas Community’s shared objective of transforming pilot experiences into scalable, transferable solutions that support more sustainable, resilient, and energy-efficient Mediterranean communities.
