The EnerCmed project aims to transform Mediterranean hinterlands into energy-positive and climate-resilient communities.

By addressing pressing energy challenges and promoting sustainable development, EnerCmed focuses on empowering marginalized neighborhoods through innovative approaches centered on Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).

EnerCmed is an innovative project that tackles the urgent and often overlooked issues of energy poverty and climate change impacts in Mediterranean regions. Five pilot cities will implement cutting-edge solutions to enhance energy efficiency, reduce urban heat islands, and improve the quality of life for residents. The project’s tools and methods combine scientific precision, practical application, and creative problem-solving, drawing on the diverse expertise of the partners involved.
