EnerCmed at SeaFuture 2025

07/10/2025

The EnerCmed Project proudly took part in SeaFuture 2025, the leading international event in the Mediterranean dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and the Blue Economy, held in La Spezia.

This prestigious exhibition and conference brought together industry leaders, research institutions, policymakers, and European cooperation projects to exchange knowledge and explore innovative solutions supporting the green and digital transition in maritime and coastal areas.

Representative from the EnerCmed consortium (Johan Augusto Bocanegra Cifuentes, PhD), joined the event to present the project’s objectives, activities, and early results, showcasing how energy transition policies and instruments can contribute to a sustainable Mediterranean.

Through networking sessions, panel discussions, and B2B meetings, EnerCmed engaged with stakeholders from the maritime, energy, and innovation sectors — highlighting the project’s role in promoting renewable energy integration, community-based models, and policy innovation across the Mediterranean region.

The participation at SeaFuture offered a valuable opportunity to connect with other EU-funded projects, institutions, and companies committed to a more resilient and decarbonised maritime economy.

By joining SeaFuture 2025, EnerCmed reinforced its commitment to bridging the Green Transition with the Blue Economy, promoting sustainable energy solutions that support both coastal development and environmental protection.

This engagement also aligns with the objectives of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, fostering cooperation and innovation among Mediterranean territories to ensure a just and inclusive transition.
