27/03/2025

EnerCmed project is excited to share that its partner Valencia Clima i Energia had an active participation in the launch event of the Spanish Territorial Antenna for the Mission Green Living Areas that took place recently in Spain.

Strategically, it has been a key step in the development of a network of national actors interested in sustainable and resilient territorial development. Valencia Clima i Energia acted as the project EnerCmed contact point machine to establish links with municipalities throughout España, and exchange experiences and the promotion of innovative initiatives on climate adaptation, energy transition and civil protection.

With its presence, the EnerCmed team pointed out the goals of the project – in particular, seizing the potential of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in local adaptation plans – and initiated discussion with public and private stakeholders committed to developsmarter, more sustainable and climate-change adapted cities.

The participation to a major national action, further extended to the benefit of the entire national network, allows EnerCmed to foster synergies across countries, as well as to share in the objectives of the EU Missions and of the thematic community Interreg Euro-MED green living areas beyond the established pilot areas.

Follow EnerCmed’s journey as we continue to grow its network and enable local agents through-out the Mediterranean to create a soounder greener future.
